They have to get that commission since they connect you with the dog owners and keep the business running.

One way to get around paying the Wag commission would be to work with a dog owner multiply times, then ask the owner if they would like to do the payments off the app. That way you can charge a lower fee, in this example maybe $15 for a dog walk. So you would make $3 more doing it off the app and the dog owner would save $5.
